Launched in 1992 and designed by the world famous Bruce Farr the stunning 60ft ‘Blueprint ‘(formerly ‘Intrum Justita ‘) was a successful entrant in the 1992 Whitbread/Volvo Round the World Challenge. She set a new record for the number of miles sailed by a monohull in 24 hours (425). Be part of sailing history as you put this sleek beauty through her paces on the ideal sailing waters of the Solent. Perfect for novices and experienced sailors alike. Itinerary: Join the boat in the marina at 9am for fresh coffee or tea while you are shown the boat and receive a full safety briefing before heading out onto the Solent for a day ‘s sailing. Lunch and refreshments will be served during the day before returning to the marina at around 4.30pm. Location: Hampshire (South East). Key information: On purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher with a minimum ten months validity. This experience is suitable for people over the age of 18. The event takes place on selected weekends subject to availability. You are welcome to sit back and enjoy the ride or take part in the sailing which will involve taking the helm, hoisting the spinnaker and trimming sails. The skipper reserves the right to curtail the experience on safety grounds if the weather becomes severe. Not suitable for those suffering from sea sickness.

Designed for those with little to no previous sailing experience, this action packed day out in the beautiful Solent is perfect for beginners. Everyone on-board becomes fully involved in raising the sails, steering the yacht and working on the foredeck.Throughout the day a professional crew will be on hand to ensure everyone gets the most out of their day. With a choice of vessels, this gift offers the recipient the option to sail on Whitbread 60 Blueprint midweek or Clipper 60 Taeping at weekends. Itinerary: The crew meet at 10am in the marina for a cup of tea or coffee and safety brief about the boat. Then head up Southampton Water into the open area of the Solent. This trip runs from 10am to 4pm on selected Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays aboard Whitbread 60 Blueprint and selected Saturdays and Sundays aboard Clipper 60, Taeping, from April to September. You are welcome to sit back and enjoy the ride or take part in the sailing which will involve taking the helm, hoisting and trimming sails. Lunch is provided onboard, before returning to Ocean Village for about 3.30pm. Location: Hampshire (South East). Key information: On purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher valid for ten months. This experience is suitable for people over the age of 12. Anyone aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a full paying parent or guardian. To avoid disappointment please ensure you give at least four weeks notice to secure summer dates as this is a seasonal experience. The skipper reserves the right to curtail the experience on safety grounds if the weather becomes severe. In the event that weather prevents the experience from taking place your date will be rescheduled. This experience is not suitable for those who suffer from seasickness.
